As Carole was studying fashion design at Drexel University she fell into a job at Bergdorf Goodman in the lingerie department. After applying herself and working hard she learned the business and soon was designing sleepwear for Bonwit Teller.

Up to this point she had had little experience in choosing fabrics for the construction of design, but she delivered an impeccable collection the first time out.

Her career was launched after this collection and moved on to a small New York design firm where she honed her skills and developed comfortable and sexy intimate apparel.

Her designs and innovations were so well received that the company was renamed Carole Hochman Designs in 1985. Christian Dior was the standard for luxury lingerie in this period and was Carole Hochman’s biggest licensee.

She also designed a line of 100% cotton sleepwear that initially was designed for the economic downturn in the 80s. She sourced the cotton form Turkey and put together a collection that Macy’s bought with no questions asked. To this day she is well known for her sleepwear the world over.

Today Carole Hochman designs for a variety of labels around the world as well as her own label. Brands like Oscar De La Renta, Ralph Lauren, and Betsy Johnson are part of her impressive and gorgeous repertoire.

She delivers two separate collections Signature and Midnight. As the name implies, Signature is her 100% cotton sleepwear. Comforting and soothing, the collection is made for pure relaxation.

Short gowns, robes, sleep shirts and pajamas are included in each of her collections. Midnight is marked by the use of satin and micro modal fabrics for a more refined look without sacrificing style and comfort.
